How long have you been at Good Growth?
I’ve worked for Good Growth for just over 6 years! It’s flown by.
How much has the business changed in that time?
It’s changed a lot, and in quite a few different ways. There are the obvious ones – we’ve more than doubled in size from a headcount view and we’ve moved offices three times (it’s got nicer with every move!). But the whole culture of the company has also had a shift. Particularly post-pandemic, there’s been a move to ‘work where you work best’ in terms of hybrid working, which has been great.
What does a normal day look like for you?
It’s a great question, but almost impossible to answer! There’s not really any such thing as a normal day as no two days are the same. I tend to structure my day around client needs, which could be deep dives into data, internal ideation sessions, presenting results decks and a whole lot more.
What’s your favourite part of your role?
I think it’s when we share the insight that we’ve generated with clients, which could be just a small initial snippet from a test result, or it could be the final delivery of a project. It’s a great feeling, particularly when it’s a good result, or if it’s something that the client wasn’t aware of, it’s always a great feeling.
What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
We’ve got some really cool projects that we’re doing analysing Delivery and Click and Collect, using insight and modelling to figure out what’s best from a client and customer point of view.
What’s the best thing about being at Good Growth?
It’s the classic answer to this question, but in our case it’s so true – it’s the people. On our website we refer to ourselves as Misfits, and in a great way that’s definitely the case. There are so many backgrounds, previous roles, different ways of thinking that come together and make us who we are as a business.
What was the last book you read?
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson – I think it was a TikTok recommendation!
What website do you visit the most?
Outside of work it’s TikTok, in work it’s Google Analytics – so a bit of a contrast! Also home DIY websites as we’ve recently moved house!
What’s your favourite way to unwind after work?
A dog walk and then watching some trashy TV (currently binging Love is Blind). Our Dog, Wilson, is 3 years old and Dobermann cross Lurcher.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
There wasn’t a specific dream job, but in the first few years of school I really wanted to be a postwoman or a princess.
