How long have you been at Good Growth?

I joined five and a half years ago!

How much has the business changed in that time?

Quite a bit actually! I’ve seen a lot of changes with people, teams, and the overall structure of the business – and then obviously acquiring another company at the start of 2023 was a big change as well. It’s all definitely been for the better, though.

What does a normal day look like for you?

Spinning lots of different plates! I have a very varied role, and the work I do on any given day depends on what is business critical at the time. Things can change very quickly, so there is a lot of jumping around different parts of the business.

What’s your favourite part of your role?

I like how varied it is, and being able to get involved with all the different parts of Good Growth is brilliant. The role is primarily behind the scenes with areas like Software Processes and ISO, but there is still a lot of variety and opportunities to get more involved with client work.

What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?

The most fun thing that I’m working on at the moment is definitely our Town Halls and Socials – it’s great when the team are buzzed about what we’ve got planned and really engage with the sessions.

What’s the best thing about being at Good Growth?

The first thing that springs to mind is the flexibility that Good Growth offers, I can do my job and make it work around life and being a parent – which is really important to me. Then more generally, I like that it’s a small company because you get to speak to pretty much everybody – regardless of position or team, you can have connections with everyone else.

What was the last book you read?

Dealbreaker by Harlan Coben. I’m on a bit of a reading mission this year – I challenged myself to read a book a month, but it’s only July and I’ve already read 15! I like my thrillers and murder mysteries, and reading helps me to get to sleep at night.

What website do you visit the most?

This is a slightly hard one – I would say Instagram, but selectively! I’m definitely not a mindless scroller, so I don’t lose hours and hours just refreshing my feed!

What’s your favourite way to unwind after work?

Where time allows, I love to get out for a walk, or do a workout with some loud music on. It’s a surefire way to feel refreshed after a long day.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I always had an interest in working with children, so I wanted to be a Teacher!
