Employee Profiles

Can you briefly describe what you’re responsible for at Good Growth?

I’m a Senior Account Manager, so my main role is to look after our internal teams. I need to make sure they know what our clients want and need, and also make sure it’s delivered on time and within budget. That also goes the other way round! Making sure our clients are kept up to date with projects and progress at our end. There’s a lot of making sure that everyone is as happy as they can be!

What part of your job do you find most satisfying?

Talking to people! This is a great job for me because I love organising things, but also getting to know people on both sides – the chance to spend time with our clients and the people at Good Growth is great.

How does working at Good Growth challenge you?

So far, every day has been different. There are cycles and processes that are the same throughout, but even within those there are all sorts of things that can change. They’re all really interesting challenges, and ones that I enjoy figuring out and solving. Things like time zones add an interesting challenge into the mix as well – if we’re working with a client a few hours ahead or behind, you need to work hard to maximise the impact of your time with them.

What qualities do you value most in a colleague?

I appreciate transparency and honesty a lot, but also being able to have fun and not take yourself too seriously is a great asset to have. A mixture of all of those!

What’s one skill you believe every person in your field should have?

I’m going to go slightly left field here – I think a really important skill is to be able to look on the positive side of things. It’s really easy to get drawn into details and bogged down in them, and sometimes just keeping a smile on your face and keeping positive can go a long, long way for you, your colleagues, and your clients.

What’s the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever received?

So before every job I have ever had, my Mum has always said to me that the most important thing is to work hard and make people like you. It seems to have paid off so far, so thanks Mum!

What’s one skill or hobby you’re currently trying to develop?

I’m a Pilates instructor, so I’m always trying to develop my playlists! All of my Pilates workouts are set to music, so whenever I’m listening to music in my spare time, I’m thinking about what moves I can do!

What’s a small thing that makes your day better?

Whenever I get sent a photo or update of my son from his nursery during the day, it always puts a smile on my face. It’s only something small but makes me incredibly happy.

What song always gets you on the dance floor or lifts your mood?

It’s the A-Trak remix of Heads Will Roll by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. If you’re reading this, put it on and try not to dance to it!

What’s your go-to comfort food?

Ramen noodles with gyoza dumplings. Sesame flavour to be specific, and then pop a fried egg on top for a real Chef’s Kiss moment!
